Give Them the Freedom to Learn & Grow

We believe every child is unique, that children should learn in ways that meet their needs, and that you want the best for your child. Homeschooling gives you the freedom to personalize their education so they can realize their potential.

HSLDA passionately advocates for the freedom to homeschool and offers support for every stage of your homeschool journey.

We begin here at HSLDA

“Here I can find original items at low prices without losing any quality or sustainability. Love it!“

Homeschoolers graduate a little differently from traditional school students, but the process is still official and recognized. Here’s how it usually works:
1. Parent-Issued Diploma
In most states, the parent acts as the school administrator.
When the student completes all required coursework (based on state law or the parent’s set curriculum), the parent issues a homeschool diploma.
This diploma is just as valid as one from a private school.
2. Transcript
Parents (or a homeschool program) create a high school transcript listing courses, grades, and credits earned.
This transcript is used for college admission, military enlistment, or employment—just like a traditional school transcript.
3. State Requirements
Graduation requirements vary by state.
Some states require certain subjects or standardized tests.
Others let parents set their own standards.
It’s important to check local homeschool laws through the state’s Department of Education or the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA).
4. Homeschool Programs or Umbrella Schools
Some families enroll in a homeschool academy, online school, or umbrella school.
These programs often handle transcripts and diplomas for you, providing official documentation.
